Diego had a surprise for Kristen. He arranged for her to have her hair done and get dressed for a special night on the town. He wanted her to feel like a queen.
She was to meet him at the Front Street Village Boathouse in Beaufort, NC, but the plan took a special turn. He walked her out on the dock while I waited nervously incognito with a super long lens. Although I wasn’t close enough to hear the proposal, I think about how wonderfully thoughtful it was for him to make sure this moment would be captured to remember forever.
Once their intimate moment was over, we took a few more images around the property of the Boat House. I got to come out of hiding!
I love it when the clouds join into the picture fun. They couldn’t have made a more beautiful backdrop. Later that evening, Diego surprised Kristen by having her family join them for a special dinner to celebrate their announcement. I came back to get some images of them with the phenomenal sunset. How can a photographer resist!? It was the perfect photographic finale to a great proposal.
