I received one of my biggest honors in 2008. Professional Photographers of NC president Chuck Hardison chose my image to grace the cover of our statewide magazine. He saw the image during our annual print competition, where it won second place in the Pets and Animals division. The picture was taken during a portrait session at Emerald Isle. The final image was given an oil effect and presented to the subject’s husband. Locals will recognize the subject as Donna McNeil, who is one of the most beautiful women I know, both inside and out.
Horseback riders are common in the off season along the beach of Emerald Isle.
