Historic Downtown Swansboro, NC has many beautiful textures that make great backgrounds for a senior portrait session. The variety of buildings, brick, old wood, and docks provide simple but interesting settings, all within a block or two from each other. However, if that’s not enough, a ten minute drive over the Emerald Isle bridge and to the beach will give you a completely different look. Start in downtown Swansboro first, where you can find plenty of shade if the sun is strong. Then head to the beach just before sunset for the softest, most flattering light. If you bring and off-camera flash, you may even get a dramatic shot at sunset or twilight!
