Rachel and Bobby got married in June at Coral Bay Club in Atlantic Beach, NC. The wedding colors were navy, gold, and white with a classic clean theme. Rachel wanted the venue to speak for itself without putting up a ton of decorations.
Although she had planned an ocean side ceremony outdoors, the weather forced the ceremony inside. The amazing staff put together an inside ceremony set up in record time. Rachel’s interesting final thoughts about the experience are in the Q and A below the gallery.
Q and A with Rachel about her wedding:
What was your favorite part of the wedding day?
“Hard to decide. My first look at Bobby when I walked into the ceremony room.”
What surprised you about your wedding day?
“The weather was awful!”
What advice would you give another bride/groom planning a wedding?
“Some things will not go exactly as planned and it is not the end of the world. Its your wedding day!”
Did you do an engagement session or a bridal portrait session? Would you recommend it to another bride/groom?
“Yes, I did both. I was able to repurpose my engagement photos into a sign book at my wedding. The bridal session was fun, it’s somewhat of a dress rehearsal for the big day!”
What do you wish you had done differently on your wedding day?
“I forgot to plan transportation to the venue. That was a little stressful.”
Name one of your favorite images from your wedding day and tell us why it is your favorite.
“The photo of Bobby as I was walking down the aisle. His face was full of emotion.”
Is there anything you’d like to share with readers about your wedding day?
“I planned an outdoor wedding which had to be inside due to weather. The ceremony was a bit tight but it lead to an intimate feel and wound up being absolutely perfect.”
