I’m excited to show you my new custom camera strap made by Abie Straps just for my business.  I chose the background fabric to coordinate with my branding and then had my logo embroidered on the fabric. Now when I work a wedding, everyone will know who the photographer is without me having to blatantly advertise myself. I think this is an amazing marketing technique that every professional photographer should consider…and well worth the investment in customization. And thanks to the quick release buckles, my second shooter can also wear an “Ellen LeRoy Photography” strap during the wedding, and easily switch back to her own strap when the wedding is done.
Each strap can be customized with your own fabric, hardware, length, piping, etc. Because Abie Straps is a small run production company, they have the ability to customize your strap in almost any way, so don’t be afraid to ask. You can find more information at this link. Non-professionals can also get custom straps. For example, you could pick out your own fabric, have it monogrammed, and send it to them to fabricate with your choice of leathers. This type of custom leather camera strap creation starts at $200. To get started working with an Abie designer, contact them at info@abiestraps.com.
